Internet is a dynamic place. For years companies created "poster-like" web sites, simply announcing to the world that they exist. Nowadays this is not enough!
Web sites now are amazing marketing tools, available for the businesses - they sell, they help communicate with the customers, they facilitate useful feedback, they help build customer loyalty, they create strong and powerful trade marks. And all of this without time and place limits - the web site is available 24/7 from any and every place in the world!
Do you own a web site? What is the Return Of Investment of this site? Is it helping your business grow? Is it helping you reach new customers? Is it giving you a way to understand what your customers like and dislike about your product, what new features will make them happy and help you sell more?
Is your web site a tool to help your business or is it just an abandoned place on the Web?

I'm an experienced web developer - in the field of the dynamic, database-driven, user personalized web sites. I have experience in site usability, Search Engine Optimisation, Web 2.0 concepts - social networking, content syndication, user interaction. With management and media/PR experience.
The Web today is an Interaction. People go online to find information, services and goods, to share experiences, to shop, to create, to make a difference.
I can help you identify all of the features that your web site needs to be a valuable tool for your business, I will make this web site for you, I will help you use it, I will make it easy and convenient for you to update it!
Many companies are afraid to operate web sites rich with features and information because they fear the maintenance will cost lots of money and will take long hours. This might be the case if you do not choose your developer wisely.
There are three ways I can make it easy for you to maintain your web site.
1. Basic CMS
It gives you the possibility to update all of the pages of the site via an easy to use, rich and powerful admin interface. If your site requires a user registration, this interface will allow you to manage the user accounts and the ways users communicate with each other and with you.
This is the solution we used for example with the site for the SIG Groundservice - Groningen. They have the possibility to easily update every page on the site - in English and Dutch at any time. There is also a dedicated interface for updating the FAQ section of the site.
2. Back-end integration
If you use some kind of software to manage your business process flow, this software can automatically update your web site. Almost all of the corporate software products now allow for export of data in an interexchangeable format (csv, xml or other). This data can then be imported in to the web site automatically or by hand whenever the company wishes.
I used this solution for example when creating the B2B online shop for the Sandrini-A. The information for the products in stock and their current prices were automatically exported by their warehouse management software and imported into the webshop database. The administrator has the possibility to update/delete any product in the database manually and to manage all of the corporate clients via a single, easy to use interface.
A similar approach was used when creating the product partner system for Doddema und Doornbusch a German based perfume distributor, where new products are imported when necessary or the whole product database is updated.
3. Intranet system
The intranet system not only helps you keep your site up do date, it optimises and streamlines the business processes in the organisation. If you use different non-consistent ways to store and access the information in the company, the intranet system will help optimise you business routines. For more details please check the
Services section.
I used this solution for the Eurocom TV, where I was a Web Manager for 3 years. I created an automated, easy to use interface where the programme manager can create the programme listing for a given date. The programme listing then appears automatically on the web site, on the special interface used by the station's staff (where there are more details given for every item on the schedule) and is exported in a format suitable to be sent to newspapers and web sites (with more information about the movies, series..). The intranet system also contains various information about the assets and the employees of the station. A demo of this and other intranet solutions I developed may be available on demand.
